Penteli House

Located on Mount Penteli our proposal for a single family residence recently received a building permit. One of the main requirements was to maximize sunlight benefits, in ways of views, skylights and having an energy self-sufficient house. As the building code allows only for pitched roofs to be built, we took that rule and turned it upside down. This in itself led us led us to apply the same strategy in the facades as a means to navigate through the complexities of the brief and the site. The house consists of 4 bedrooms, a mezzanine with a study area, a central skylight, an open plan living area with direct access to swimming pool and garden as well as an underground parking space.
