Metaxourgio Apartment

The design of the apartment in Metaxourgeio reflects on its surroundings. A central neighborhood of Athens filled with abandoned buildings, empty hollow vessels of past activity. Instead of tearing down walls, we punctured through as if the exterior state of the buildings somehow translates into an interior design language. Ideal lighting and ventilation through the apartment are thus achieved. Recycled elements and materials such as a marble sink and construction grade plywood, in addition to custom made furniture complement the design.
